That would mean you accidentally changed the Skype user interface language. Since this can also change the hotkeys used to get to things, the following directions for fixing this avoid them except where they work in all languages. These directions are for Skype 5.
1. Tap the Alt key once, then the left arrow key three times, to get to the Tools menu, by whatever name it is currently known. 2. Tap the downArrow key twice to get to the Change Language menu, then tap the right arrow key once to enter it. 3. Press the letter E to select English. This will close the menus and should return your Skype to English.
