Hey guys,
I should soon install Skype for a friend of mine and I'll have to choose the 
most appropriate version. I read somewhere that Skype 5.0 needs a bit more ram 
than previous versions, can you please give me a minimum value? That's what it 
tells in the system requirements section of Skype's download page:
For voice and video calls we recommend a computer with at least a 1GHz 
processor, 256 MB RAM and of course a webcam.
So, 512 mb of ram would work? This is only an example because I should of 
course know how much ram does she have on her laptop but I do not know 
exactly...
More in general, the point is: can I trust at all of this kind of info about 
system requirements indicated in the various program websites, or might I 
encounter some troubles?
