In this case it claims that I'm off line then it gives a list of all the
contacts stating that they are also offline. then I'm back on again with
it announcing the ones that are on-line.

my skype talk program does the same tjhing, but I thought it was because
in the tools menu where it saysto show away for whatever time, well, I
just figure that if I was not on skype for oh, let's say 15 min ,then it
would automatically would let me know I was off line.. or away...
you can go and change that, or juncheck that, I think so it wouldn't
announce your being away from it?

Well I encounter a similar thing, meaning that SkypeWatch announces my
status as unknown then as Online again. It happened in the last days,
and since I encountered same trouble in the past, even if not so
recently, I did not mind that. Someone explained me it's a Skype server
issue.
