The number 3 key pressed with the shift key is the pound or hash key.

Hello listers,
Can anyone tell me where the pound key is on a the computer keyboard? I
mean when using those interactive systems, sometimes you are asked to
press the pound key, how do you do this when calling those types of
interactive phone systems?
I am using a mac by the way so if things are different from windows, if
any of you are mac users and can answer my questions, I will be looking
forward to your answer.
