Hi Lynne doesn't work, I don't see my facebook chats at all, not only on my desktop machine but on my laptop too where I also installed the skype beta. I can only concur that skype is not properly connecting to facebook.

Press insert+F8, then arrow down to "facebook tab" and hit enter. Your facebook contacts should be displayed in list form just like your skype contacts. Try this, this works just fine here.
