I had a friend with similar issues and what tend to happen that there are 2
skype in the System Tray, in order to resolve this as I have helped this
friend. Go to CTRL shift and ESC to the processors tab by going to CTRL tab
to get there if it is in Application Tab, then go to Skype.exe then press
application Key then End Process then a dialog box comes up, then hit enter
to end process again, then alt f4 the Windows Task Manager then go to
Desktop or wherever you usually launch Skype then if it launch without
entering your password then it is sorted. But another thing tend to happen
the password is entered twice in the same password window, make sure it is
blank then retype the password. Sorry for the long process! Good Luck!

Hello list,
a pair of friend of mine are reporting that the first time they launch
Skype it starts correctly, but when they close and restart Skype, it asks
them for the password. As far as I can tell (but be prepared for possible
updates), they're both using Skype 5.5, though one is using Windows xp
while the other is with Windows 7 x64.
Any help would be appreciated.
