Do you try to uncheck keep skype in the taskbar I'm signed in? When it is
unchecked you will see the Skype icon in the tray. You can find it in
tools, options and the advanced tab.

Hello Listers,
I upgraded skype to 5.6 think I have solved the skype crashing issue.
Still no sound when calling skype calling testing service. How ever it
does play signing in sound and signing out sound. I still can't see skype
in the system tray.
