Dear Sara and all, chat messages work perfectly here with the last Skype version, but I also updated iOS to 5.1.1 about a week ago. I don't know if this is the key to the problem, but I have nothing to complain about, except for the apostrophe sign that is now read "apo", but that was already in the previous Skype version.
