Hi! Both standard Skype and GWConnect work with NVDA. Some people will tell you that accessibility in standard Skype is getting worse, but that simply isn't true: the way to do things sometimes has to change, but I use standard Skype with NVDA all the time, and have no problems. I still use SkypeTalking myself, while it still works, but if it ever stops working I am pretty sure I'll be able to use standard Skype. As far as I know, SkypeTalking is the nearest thing we can get to NVDA scripts for Skype, so, even though it can't do everything, it's a good program for an NVDA user to add to standard Skype, I think so anyway. GWConnect will always be accessible for blind people, since it was made for them, so if you're worried about standard Skype becoming inaccessible, maybe GWConnect would be better for you, even though, as I've already pointed out, standard Skype isn't inaccessible at all, no matter what some people may say about it. My own experience of GWConnect has not been very good, as every version I have tried has had bugs which have annoyed or frustrated me, but that's just my own experience, and I wouldn't tell anyone to avoid GWConnect just because I don't like it. However, there are two things I should point out, which may make a difference to your choice. If you want to use video in Skype, or use other services which can be merged with Skype such as Messenger or Facebook, you will have to use standard Skype, as GWConnect does not support video calls, nor does it support Facebook or Messenger. Although my personal choice is to keep using standard Skype with NVDA, everyone has their own needs and preferences, so in the end it's your decision whether you use standard Skype or whether you would prefer GWConnect. All of us can recommend one or the other, but it's the choice of the user to decide which program suits him or her better. Bye for now! From Clare
