Hi! I'm using a 64-bit Windows 7 computer myself, and I recently also upgraded to Skype 6.1, but this new version of Skype has never crashed for me since I installed it. So I can't guess why your friend's Skype is crashing so much, Michele. Sorry this isn't much help, but I thought I'd answer anyway, to let you know that this crashing problem doesn't happen to everybody running Skype 6.1 on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.
