I just joined the list and have a question that I hope isn't off
topic, it deals with installing scripts for skype into Jaws so I
don't think it will be.
I'm running Windows 7 home premium here and have just upgraded to
skype 6.1. I'm trying to install the scripts for skype version 6.x
from Doug Lee's site but I start getting errors when it comes to the
part of the installation where the scripts need to be compiled. I'll
paste the log here that I was given by the installation because I
believe it explains my problem better than I ever could.
Install into JAWS folders 14.0.
Preparing for JAWS script compilation.
14.0:
User folder: C:\Users\Troy\AppData\Roaming\Freedom
Scientific\JAWS\14.0\Settings\enu
Shared folder: C:\ProgramData\Freedom Scientific\JAWS\14.0\Settings\enu
Output folder: C:\Users\Troy\AppData\Roaming\Freedom
Scientific\JAWS\14.0\Settings\enu
Installing files.
JAWSUtil command: compile skype_compat.jss skype_jcpdict.jss
Skype.JSS skypewatch.JSS
Command returned 1.
Output:
CScript Error: Can't find script engine "VBScript" for script
"C:\Users\Troy\AppData\Local\Temp\nsn8D43.tmp\jawsutil.vbs".
End of output.
Restoring this JAWS folder to its original state.
JAWSUtil command: chain "default" remove skypewatch.jsb
Command returned 1.
Output:
CScript Error: Can't find script engine "VBScript" for script
"C:\Users\Troy\AppData\Local\Temp\nsn8D43.tmp\jawsutil.vbs".
End of output.
JAWSInstallDirs is .
All installations failed!
Writing log file.
I'd appreciate any help with this problem, btw I am running skype
talking as well if that makes a difference.
