Weird it sould be an executable file I can send you the execuatble
version I have and hope it won't show as a graphic, all you do is run it
like you would any executable file then of course give skype permission
to use skype talking within the options I believe that is where it is,
send me an email off list so I can send you the executable another way.
I'd really like to help you out.

Sure. If ctrl+8 does not work for you, you will find a button in the Skype
main window, it tells solmething like Home orange, and if you click there
you will go to Skype home.
