Yeah, it's doing the same thing for me, it's a skype limitation, the scripts
aren't' able to do anything there. I have to left mouse click in order to
use the profile window.

The need for the left mouse button to get to profile fields is a
mystery to me. Some have this problem once, and some not at all. By
all reports so far, everyone who has to click once does not have to
click again until Skype is restarted, but then they have to click once
again. I am not able to reproduce this problem in my Skype. I wonder
if it is specific to non-English Skypes, but I am not able to
reproduce the problem if I set Skype to Italian here either, though I
have yet to restart Skype after switching to Italian to test that.
I can tell you, though, that this is a Skype issue, not a script
issue, because Skype itself decides where the Tab key goes. The
problem here is that the Tab key is doing nothing, even visually,
until you click once.

I just tested the login screen and fields read fine with JAWS in forms
mode. Remember this is an HTML screen, so the normal rules for web
pages apply: Use forms mode when filling out fields and virtual cursor
for reading the entire page.
I am curious about the need to left-click to edit profiles though.
Here are the steps I use to edit my profile. Please let me know where
the mouse click is necessary for you:
1. Open the Skype menu with Alt+S.
2. Open the Profile submenu with p.
3. Choose the "Edit Your Profile..." option with e.
4. Tab to the beginning of the profile fields, which is the "Change
Picture" link.
5. Read and edit fields as I described in an earlier message.
Generally you press Space on text fields like mood text, email, etc.
to open an edit box for them. Combo boxes and button dropdowns work as
they usually do.

This is not a script release for everyone. This is an alpha set of
scripts designed for Skype 6.2 that should also work with 6.0 and 6.1.
It is also meant to work with JAWS versions as old as 6.0 and up
through 14.0. That's a pretty broad claim for me to make without means
to test, and I've changed several things; so I welcome testers.
For anyone who wants to test these, please read and keep the following
information handy:
1. Make sure you have access to the installer for your current scripts
in case you need them. The latest actual script release is still at
http://www.dlee.org/skype/
2. Download and run, or just run directly if you prefer, the alpha
script installer, which is at http://www.dlee.org/skype/sk62test.exe
3. When the alpha scripts are installed, make sure that Insert+Q, when
typed from within Skype, says "revision 736." If you get a different
revision number, your alpha scripts are not running yet.
4. Once you're sure the alpha scripts are running, note any problems
as you move through Skype. I labeled profile fields, the Options tree,
Send Contacts fields, and a number of other items in Skype. I had
labeled many of these before, but over time things changed and stopped
working as intended.
5. If you notice any problems, send a message to this list including
your Skype version, JAWS version, Windows version, what you were doing
at the time, and what happened and should have happened.
The rest of this message is more for the technically inclined than for
everyone else:
The biggest change in this alpha script set is in the system I use to
label fields. I have created sort of a "first match wins" approach and
then made exceptions where necessary, whereas in past scripts, it was
more of a "last match wins" situation. This allows me to take
advantage of some Skype-provided MSAA information that was previously
ignored while still applying my own names to fields when such
information is not available in a particular Skype version. Thus, for
example, the field I've been calling "Search Contacts, groups and
conversations" is named by Skype itself as "Search" most of the time
but may change its name based on what the user is doing. The alpha
scripts will, when finding the actual Skype field name, use that, and
will otherwise use the name I've been assigning manually.
