Yeah, thought this list would be helpful for her to get on, especially since there are a lot more users of Skype on the Windows side on here. They could help her better than I could, as I've switched to a Mac, and been using a Mac since 2008. So therefore haven't used any higher versions than 3.8 of Skype on the Windows side of things.
