The typing flash messages are something I can consider avoiding in the scripts. Others on this list, feel free to write back with your thoughts on that.
I don't plan to silence the sender's name on chats though, because multi-person chats in Skype are very common, and the names are needed there. Also even in a chat with one person, many people would, I'm sure, like to hear which messages came from them and which from the other end, particularly when going back a while in message history.
