Hey Steve,
I use an iPhone but possibly this might be valid since it's the same
operating system.
With Voiceover you should be able to know the current status of your
contact, but possibly by flicking once from left to right after hearing the
full name. It's not possible though, as far as I know, to have a signin/out
notification, like SkypeWatch with Windows.
