Dear Doug Lee, Firstly, tank you for your scripts. JAWS allows to click a text balloon when a system tray program pops up it, such as Action/Security Center warnings or Nokia PC Suite. The reading performed by Skypewatch is coded in the scripts, but these messages are not actually text balloons and therefore they cannot be clicked with JAWS by pressing NumPad Slash. I'm not programmer, but if the JAWS scripting language let you something to associate these notifications to the function that handles the capability to click balloons, you could fix the problem.
There is also a problem when announcing status change messages with the Skype latest version in Spanish language, but I reviewed it and it's due to Skype translators that added to this button additional text not present in English. Instead of saying: Away, select it to change. The Spanish version says (obviously in Spanish): Your status is: Away, select it to change. As a result, Skypewatch says: Skype: Status Your status is: Away, select it to change. To resolve this, I thought about modifying the Skypewatch JSM or editing the Skype Spanish language file. What solution would you recommend? Asunto: Re: [Skypeenglish] Skype 6.7 for Windows, a correction and something that I forgot The "select..." part of SkypeWatch announcements comes from new text in the actual systray popup. SkypeWatch simply reads what pops up. Not sure if I'll change that, since it does inform users they cann click on that item and I think there's a way in JAWS to do that, though I don't remember what it is. As for the Skype ID speaking a second or two after arrowing in a contact list, I'm afraid MSAA no longer gives me the Skype ID in 5.7 as it did before, so this is something I have to address with Skype rather than fixing it in scripts for now. It really tels the number of unread messages in a conversation, but it says it after the online status or after the contact Mood Text (if the person set one). Another pair of things with the scripts: 1.. for those who use SkypeWatch, when the status changes it says something like: "Skype: status online, select to change your status"; 2.. the scripts no longer tell us automatically the Skype id of the currently higlighted contact after a few seconds. Ending with a good news... It seems to me like they fixed the problem with the chat Facebook chat, where your messages where shown/read twice. Note that I am currently use JAWS 10.0 under Windows xp, so the results may vary with later versions. Bye!
