A lot of people, some here, some on Twitter, and some in other places, have been complaining about the fact that Skype 6.9 now speaks timestamps as you read through chat messages where it didn't always do so before. I've long had a verbosity option in my Skype scripts for JAWS that can prevent this excess information from being spoken, but in Skype 6.9, it doesn't work.
I just posted a six-or-so-minute audio podcast explaining why this is happening, why I have not attempted to fix the verbosity option, and what I did do to address the problem.
