I don't know for sure, but I've seen a Skype Garage blog post recently about "retiring older versions of Skype". Users are encouraged to use Skype 6.16 or the version for modern Windows. Don't know if that means they'll deny access to a user who is running an older version.

Does anyone know if users are forced to use more recent versions, especially when using a 64 bit system? Bye!
