Hi ! I agree, what each person uses for Skype is their choice, whether that's regular Skype or GWConnect.
I have used regular Skype most of the time for over six years now. I tried GWConnect for a while, when it was quite new, but I had so many problems with it back then that I stopped using it, and I've gone back to using regular Skype ever since. I used the JAWS scripts with Skype for about two years, when I had JAWS on my computer, but, now that I use NVDA instead, I have found that regular Skype is accessible on its own. I also have Skype for IOS, which I use from time to time, but I mostly use Skype on my PC, having it on the iPhone is just a backup for me mostly. Those are my personal preferences when it comes to Skype, but I don't expect everyone else to be the same, so in the end each person must make there own decision as to the best way to access Skype.
