hi, you can find the scripts at http://dlee.org/skype
a previous message suggested you use jaws+f10 to open the notifications
list. this is in fact, incorrect. the correct keystroke is jaws+f11.
you then arrow down to skype and press enter. after that arrow through
to quit and press enter on it. if you haven't already done so, tab until
you hear a tick box warning you not to ask you again and tick it. then
click on quit.
to make a call, you don't need to press space to sellect the contact.
simply arrow to it and tap your applications key one time. there will
then appear a context menu which you can up or down arrow through to
sellect the options you wish. one of which, is to call the sellected user.

Okay...I found out what the problem was (wrong command) I thought you
(after hitting the space bar) just hit "enter"...wrong! It's
control-plus R! Okay...so what's the quickest way to get to one's
contact list? Whenever I bring Skype up, I'm getting some kind of
list (maybe the Skype page) is there a way to ellimate this as it

Sounds as if you don't have the options set correctly in Skype. Go
into the options, General tab and make sure that the check box is
checked for:
When I double Click on a contact, make a call.
I'm not having these same issues with Skype, and I'm not even using
the Skype scripts with one of my versions of JAWS.

Hello Bill and list: Okay...as you suggested, I found a contact
and hit the space bar. However, all this did was to bring up a
"chat" thing...not what I want! What now?

Hi, Tom. First, calling the contact. Once you arrow down to the
contact's name, press the space bar on that contact name to select
it, then make the call.
Second, to exit Skype, if you're using JAWS, press JAWS KEY plus
F10 to bring up the system tray. Once that is done, arrow to Skype
and press Enter. A menu will come up. Look for Quit Skype. Then
Tab until you hear Quit Button. Press Enter, and Skype will be exited.

Hello list: Haven't posted here in quite a while, so I hope
this is even going to the right list! I've downloaded and
installed the latest version of Skype, now that I've been told
that GW Connect is going to not work anymore! I got it
working...well...sort of; I called that ECHO thing (that
worked out okay) aw but then when I wanted to call another
contact, it called ECHO again! What am I doing wrong? Also,
when I seemingly close Skype out, it's still there! So how do
I close it out?
