You cannot use older scripts with the current Skype, because enough changed in how Skype presents itself on screen and internally to assistive technology such as JAWS. I no longer support JAWS 8 because I have started using some serious power in the JAWS scripting language that was added in JAWS 11.
So I'm afraid the short answer is, the only way to use JAWS 8 with the current Skype is without scripts. This is certainly possible to do though.
