At one time, there was a known compatibility issue between the Skype
script installer and the JTools installer. I never knew if this was
completely worked out.

A JAWS repair should not be required to fix any problem with a Skype
script install, because the Skype script installer never modifies the
JAWS shared folder. It only modifies the user folder. My prediction is
that deleting default.jss/jsb/jsd from the JAWS user folder would
restore JAWS' functionality...

But my suggestion is this:

1. Start with a functioning JAWS 14, presumably with JTools installed
but not the Skype scripts.

2. Install the Skype scripts and include JAWS 14. This is what you say
will fail. (If asked to uninstall older Skype scripts during this
process, you will need to allow that.)

3.Use JAWS 15 to go grab a copy of default.jss from the JAWS 14 user
folder. To do this, go to Start, All Programs, JAWS, 14.0, Explore
JAWS, Explore My Settings. Do not use Explore Shared Settings.

4. If the default.jss file you find is less than, say, 40 or 50 lines
long, paste it here so I can see it. If it is way longer, in the
thousands of lines, chances are you ended up with a modified copy of
the shared default files in your user folder.

An alternative thing to try, though I doubt it works as expected, is
to repair JAWS 14, remove any Skype scripts from it, remove JTools
from it, verify there are no default.jss/jsb/jsd files in the user
folder and move them if they are there, install the Skype scripts
(which should work this time), then try to reinstall JTools. I cannot
predict what will happen there though, because I am not very familiar
by now with the operation of the JTools installer.

   Hello.

I am using Jaws 15 with the latest scripts version.

I am trying to instal the scripts mutually on both versions, 15 and 14.

Whenever I check Jaws 14 during installation, it crashes in the
process, and it speaks unknown function regardless of what keystroke I
   press.

It doesnt solve unless I repair Jaws.

The reason for why I want Jaws 14, is that I am using J-tools.

Please, can anybody guide me to how to instal and compile the
   scripts manually in Jaws 14.

The regular installation causes a trouble.

I have tried it several times.

Any suggestion or recommend, that will tremendously be appreciated.

   Mostafa.
