Microsoft announced discontinuation of the Skype Desktop API, on which all the aforementioned apps must rely. Officially they are discontinuing it because it only works on a subset of the platforms they support with Skype now, and I believe this is indeed a driver for this move. However, I also think there may be other reasons behind the move, not so official; such as the fact that the Desktop API was not well maintained for a couple years or so before the announcement, the existance of the API could inspire alternate interfaces to their network, etc.
In any event, I, both as the author of Clisk and as a believer in open architecture in general, am disappointed by the move but happy that the API has so long outlasted the announcement. Clisk will continue to work as long as Microsoft will let it.
