I am not sure if there's a solution for your problem...
If you use NVDA, you probably used SkypeTalking and you have to launch
it manually. As far as I know though, it no longer works since Skype
6.22; if you are sure you weren't using this particular Skype version,
check it anyway, chances are you've been autoupgraded.
