Hello again everyone, Steve's suggestion of installing skype version 6.21 worked like a charm. I installed it from the link he provided, and that seemed to bring mp3 skype recorder back to life. I don't know what happened with version 6.22, but whatever it is, it causes the program to not work for some of us, but it appears to work for others. Hmmm, strange. Thanks for your help Steve.

LOL What I mean by that is upgrades in software should be treated like upgrades of hardware, the consumer decides if they are happy where they are and can choose to do nothing. Now I am also aware of the practical side of not being able to support software that's more than 8 or 10 years old, but what Skype just did to us could have been done slower and for sure far better. I have always believed in full disclosure by telling my clients what's good and what's going to change for them if they accept or decline a proposal. But I just think MS and other companies could handle upgrades better not from what they develop or do but by offering the public the choice to do nothing! And choosing to do nothing in my office is still free of charge, because it costs me nothing to grant them their wish! LOL I guess I'll just have to keep dreaming. The fact is that we are a small portion of their market, and while I am against discrimination of any kind, I also believe that we as blind users should develop our own workarounds when things do not work like we were used to or seem inaccessible. But I do agree with you. I was very happily using Jaws 14 and It was working just fine with all my other programs until last week when Skype upgraded and I couldn't get it to work for me. I was told to upgrade to Jaws 16 which I did do and now my older reliable software that I have used for years isn't working right either. This is interfering with my ability to get my paying work done. How do I get an older version of Skype back on my machine?
