Hello all,
I've noticed a few things about Doug's JAWS scripts for Skype, witch I
want to bring to your and Doug's attention.
1. With the scripts installed, when we are in a conversation window and
the focus is in the chat entry edit field and we try to move the focus
to the chat content list with a few presses of Shift+TAB, it fails. The
scripts keep moving the focus back to the chat entry edit field. Is this
intentional?
2. With the scripts installed, when we are in a conversation window and
the focus is in the chat entry edit field and we try to move the focus
to the chat content list by pressing up arrow once (it works with
Skype's accessibility mode enabled), the focus seams to land in the chat
content list, but JAWS keeps saying "unknown field", no matter how many
times we press the up/down arrows in there. We have to press TAB at
least once (sometimes even more times) to make the scripts aware that
the focus is in the chat content list.
The 2 issues mentioned above seam not to be language-dependent, because
they occur even with the scripts and Skype in english.
3. The guide for manual scripts installation seams to be a little
out-of-date. The JUnpack utility for unpacking the scripts ZIP archive
is mentioned, even though the scripts no longer have a ZIP version. Not
only that, but the URL address to download the JUnpack utility is wrong.
It points to:
http://randylaptop.com/projects/JUnpack/
witch address gives a 404 error.
