I am an android user, using nexus 5 and previously running on kit kat. I wanted the skype app on this phone, but was warned that it is not compatible with lollypop 5. I got the app, after upgrading, thinking that the incompatibility would be resolved quickly, as many androids would upgrade. I have a friend who prefers to type her messages to me, because she has been deaf for many years and feels that I wouldn't be able to understand her words. On the lap-top, of course, but, on the android, I make a video call and she reads my lips, but I cannot hear her typed messages. I get round this, partly by using both, android and lap-top, as I can walk around the room with the android, but hear her messages through jaws, on the lap-top. Later, this year, I am taking a vacation and concerned that we will be unable to skype with other, while I am away. Is this a problem, caused by incompatibility between the skype app and the present android operating system, or is there another possible cause which some tips could help me to rectify.
