My Typing sound hasn't been working for months.
I have had the same problem for months now since I fixed my Skype by going
backward to the earlier version before we had all this current trouble with
Skype 7.1.
I am using Jaws 16 and I see very clearly in the Jaws menu the volume
setting for how loud I want it to be and have it set on the third of 5
levels but still I don't hear it when others are typing back to me.
So I figured it's got to be one of two things:
I' missing something that is probably very obvious or...
I have the only unique one of a kind computer in the entire world! LOL
Lets start with the first choice that it's me! LOL
Can anyone offer some suggestions please?

Hey Larry,
check out scripts revision number and Skype version number. You probably
need to upgrade the scripts to the latest version, which is 6.22a revision
892. Especially, if you also encounter problems with typing announcement.
