That is a common message for installers that are not well known to the entire Internet community, which pretty much applies to script installers because they are only used by a small percentage of online people, as we the blind are a minority. There is generally a way past that message, though the specific steps probably vary by Windows version.

Using windows 7 with the latest version of Skype, and the scripts work fine. For some reason, Skype shows me as Away at startup. Usually, it just shows my status as Online. Anyone else with that problem? I've reset the status to Online. It showed Away when I signed in this morning. I can not reproduce any problems with any of these using the brows mode of NVDA with skype. The same is true for jaws. One problem I have seen is sometimes skype does not focus the document. If this happens you can do one of two things. First use split window view. This means that each one of these documents will come up in it own window that you can close if you like. Second option is just press control 1 to focus the contact list if you are using jaws and alt+1 for everything else. Now press the option you want to see for example control h for home. Using windows 10 skype latest version nvda 2015.3 rc1 and the next branch. You can also use object review to work with this if you like. It's ok to do that, but sometimes it causes your online status to change unexpectedly based on one device's idea of what it should be. Also, if you use this Skype account on a mobile device such as an iPhone, signing out on the device may still leave you signed in but Away from Skype's perspective because of push notifications. I suppose that could make your non-mobile Skype see you as Away when next signing in. On Fri, Aug 21, 2015 at 05:47:16AM -0400, Jerry Pryde via Skypeenglish wrote: Hi all. I installed 7.8 and unchecked them on my way through. To find them, make sure you Tab around every screen during installation to see what's there. I don't remember the sequence well enough to tell you exact field names, but I remember first seeing a screen with a checkbox for installing Skype Click to Call, then another screen with two checkboxes, one for "Make Bing my search engine" and the other for something else. Every single time I run a Skype installer, all three of these are checked by default. The name Bing wasn't in any of the services listed. Has anyone else had this problem? I didn't see any boxes to uncheck at the time I ran the update file which would have opted me out of getting this Bing process, and having my home page and search providers changed in my Internet browsers. Did I miss some check boxes, or do they put this on everybody's computers who update to Skype7.8 now? Thank you. Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" First these are not dialogs. These are html like documents. They must be reviewed with brows mode. Hi. I am having problems with some skype dialogues under windows 7 64 bit. I don't know if the experience is better under 32 bit. i am using nvda by the way but I tried with jaws demo with not much success. Some of these dialogues don't read anything at all. For example skype home, send feedback under help menu, the sign in screen etc. I think with each version it starts gradually becoming much worst.
