Doug was absolutely correct. Even through all the words were in English, on
Skype, they were only JAWS related. I remembered where the language choices
were in menues, so I hit Alt and arrowed over till I found that arabic
sounding set of words and arrowed down, till I heard English. I entered on
it and, I heard a complete sentence in English, referring to where I was.
Earlier, I found Echo and opened it. It took a bit of doing, but when the
voice read the directions, it was, indeed, Chinese. That convinced me, Doug
was right1-that it was set up for Chinese and the menues changed, too. Oh,
you have no idea how happy I am, I have Skype back. Thanks, for this list

'chinese' is a choice. It isn't the language of Skype as the few menu items

6.22B anywhere on my system and suspect, even as it is installed, it is
hidden. When I open JAWS 16. there are no scripts listed. That must

JAWS scripts 6.222A didn?t affect the new Skype, I unstalled both and
installed Skype 7.1 and then 6.22A, again. I am running JAWS 16. Anyone

Sarah, I downloaded 6.22B, after uninstalling it. Evidently, it had kept up
with Skype, when Microsoft updated Skype. I don?t understand why I no
longer have access to the menus nor key commands. Actually, I can find a
couple of my contacts and I know where the menu items should be, to call,
but haven?t been able to contact them. When Skype loads, I hear ? Group?
Chinese? Facebook? If I enter on Groups, I get a list of my contacts, but
no indication of their being on line and when I enter and type a message,
there is no response, nor my message displayed. I?ve gotta be doing
something wrong. Help! Frank

I thought there was a set amount of arrows you need to arrow. Can you do a
complete reset of skype and reinstall so it defaults to system language?
I'm guessing here as I have not yet, thanks goodness, changed language.

If you attempt to install 6.22b again, you will be told these scripts are
already on your system and do you want to run the uninstaller. Say yes.
Once the scripts are uninstalled, your system will ask if you want to
install the selected script version, which in this case will b6.22b.
Run the installer again and hopefully that will solve your issue.

Doug and
Sarah, I downloaded 6.22B, after uninstalling it. Evidently, it had kept up
with Skype, when Microsoft updated Skype. I don?t understand why I no
longer have access to the menus nor key commands. Actually, I can find a
couple of my contacts and I know where the menu items should be, to call,
but haven?t been able to contact them. When Skype loads, I hear ? Group?
Chinese? Facebook? If I enter on Groups, I get a list of my contacts, but
no indication of their being on line and when I enter and type a message,
there is no response, nor my message displayed. I?ve gotta be doing
something wrong. Help! Frank

Perhaps you somehow changed the Skype language? Unfortunately I can't tell
you the exact steps to fix that, because menu names and shortcut keys change
based on the language you are using.

I thought there was a set amount of arrows you need to arrow. Can you do a
complete reset of skype and reinstall so it defaults to system language?
I'm guessing here as I have not yet, thanks goodness, changed language.
