Many SFB versions produce menu activation events when a chat arrives. This causes a couple of Alt+Tabs to be necessary after the arrival of every new chat message. This was recently fixed, but I'm finding new issues in the SFB update and still collecting information about these. I regard the menu-event-generating SFB versions as impractical to use with assistive technology in settings with frequent chat messages. I regard the update, which I'm still testing, as more usable in comparison but subject to different problems. I am therefore concentrating all energy on the updated version and not further working with the older versions. I understand that SFB is not so easily updated as the consumer-aimed Skype product though, since companies can and do control such updating at a corporate level. Finally, my apologies for not being more specific about the new issues in SFB. There are two reasons for this: First, I am still collecting information about them as I said. Second though, I understand that there are several possible update channels and that the version one gets depends on which channel is in use at your location. I've seen version numbers for SFB that do not yet make sense to me, which makes me uncertain as to how new my own SFB instance may be at the moment. In case it's helpful though, my current version (which actually reports as a Microsoft Office 2016 version number) is 16.0.7167.2040.
