You wrote JAWS 7, but I'm pretty sure you meant JAWS 17. :-)
What exact Skype version do you have? JAWSKey+Ctrl+V from within Skype
should tell you that.
If it's a current Skype version and JAWS 17, you'll want script version
6.22b, not 6.22a.
But either way, I am not familiar with "error 1." Give us the steps you
use and what you do just before seeing
that, and any other information that appears on screen with that error
code, if you could please.
For most installation errors for my Skype scripts, a Notepad instance will
appear after the installer closes.
If you see one of those, copy its contents into a message here so I can
see what's happening in more detail.

Hello, please tell us which JAWS version are you running, and which
scripts version are you trying to install. If you get an error log that
pops up in notepad, try also to paste it to a mail so that the scripts
creator can analyze this.
