Thanks for the feedback so far. I have a paid account, plenty of Skype credit, and my own phone number, so I'm not sure that's the issue. Thanks for the suggestion of the alternative voicemail option too. I was thinking of getting a VoiceMail service with a dedicated phone number and forwarding my Skype number to it when I need to, but this may be a more elegant solution.
