Tive o mesmo problema com o 0.11.18. No 0.11.17 funcionava bem. Acho que esse vers�o foi compilada com outra ves�o de QT. Estou atualizando o meu KDE para ver se funciona.

I finally did some testing and gathered some information on the kernel 2.6.9 problem. Here is what I can tell you:
* Cdrecord won't run anymore when configured suid root. The reason is that the new kernel forbids suid root programs to use the SCSI subsystem (or something like that, correct me if I am wrong :) So Cdrecord needs to be configured without suid root and the next version of K3bSetup will do that. Cdrdao does not have this problem. I think that's becasue it drops the root privileges in an earlier stage but I am not sure about that.

Instalei o k3b no meu slackware 10, como root, rodei
k3bSetup 2, criei o grupo burning, inseri nesse grupo os usu�rios que
v�o usar a gravadora.
Ao chamar o k3b (como root) pelo menu k >
Multimidia > k3b ele mostra a tela inicial do progrma e some sem retornar nenhum
erro.
O que eu preciso fazer para fazer o k3b funcionar no meu slackware 10?
Obs.: Eu tenho os seguintes programas e vers�es instalados em meu sistema:
k3b-0.11.18 id3lib-3.8.3 libmad-0.15.1b
