I was running in a login shell to start with, but I renamed .profile and .bashrc (which are symlinks to my user files) so su - had a pristine environment. Does "go help buildmode" work for you? What does "go version" show? I get > go version go1.4.2 gccgo (GCC) 5.3.0 linux/amd64 Cheers ....
