Hey everyone,

Following up to Rob's jira-notify email list announcement [1], I've
added some features to my IRC bot that tracks in near real time
jira-notify events.

Also using the EFNet IRC network (the same one that we have #opensl on)
I have a channel #opensl-jira which is displaying jira notify info so
you can keep track in real time of new/updated/closed jira entries.

As jira-notify is a high volume list this lets you not have an inbox
full, and/or just monitor events when you are logged in, or just leave
yourself idle in the channel and update when ever.

I'm planning on also including the person who made the change that
triggered the jira notify and possibly some other helpful features. But
for those of you who are trying to keep jira in order or want to and
can't deal with the volume of email it generates, this could be for you.

We probably don't need to continue this discussion here so if you need
anything else feel free to mail me direct or bring it up on #opensl

Best regards

Robin
