The mozlib engine and if its Qt/Gtk or anything else has very
little/zero impact on the rest of the viewer so I would not fear that it
will impact your other work.

In theory the mozlib could drop Qt and implement a pure webkit backend,
however this is quite a bit of work and currently the Qt implementation
of webkit provides the foundations necessary.
