I thought I'd chime in with my experiences with Snowglobe with easybuild First of all the compilation worked the easybuild way (Debian sid) and I'm using snowglobe right now. But there seems to be 2 issues that I "think" might be related to the easybuild process. (But I'm not a developer so I may be very wrong)
1) The mouse cursor. I just have a default black arrow, it does not change when I place the mouse over an object you can touch, or when you alt-click for example. 2) KDU Stuff. The compiled viewer includes the KDU libraries (With new names compared to 1.22 and 1.23RCs) but Help > About Second Live says it's using OpenJPEG Hope this helps :) :: System Info :: Snowglobe 1.23.2 (121930) Jun 4 2009 19:58:40 (CommunityDeveloper) Release Notes Built with GCC version 40303 You are at 269441.6, 311929.6, 1501.1 in Mayan Myst located at sim8243.agni.lindenlab.com (216.82.38.56:13002) Second Life Server 1.26.4.120562 Release Notes CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 4300 @ 1.80GHz Memory: 2026 MB OS Version: Linux 2.6.29-2-686 #1 SMP Sun May 17 17:56:29 UTC 2009 i686 Graphics Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation Graphics Card: GeForce 7900 GS/PCI/SSE2 OpenGL Version: 2.1.2 NVIDIA 180.44 libcurl Version: libcurl/7.16.4 OpenSSL/0.9.7c zlib/1.2.3.3 c-ares/1.4.0 J2C Decoder Version: OpenJPEG: 1.3.0, Runtime: 1.3.0 Audio Driver Version: (none) LLMozLib Version: [LLMediaImplLLMozLib] - 2.01.24412 (Mozilla GRE version 1.8.1.18_0000000000) Packets Lost: 226/40092 (0.6%) _______________________________________________ Policies and (un)subscribe information available here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/SLDev Please read the policies before posting to keep unmoderated posting privileges
