I just tested this again. - When I have the original icon (installed by 'admin') on the desktop and then do a new snowglobe install, the icon gets replaced. - When I create a Snowglobe icon on the desktop manually that is owned by the current (non-admin) user, then the installer creates a second Snowglobe icon. But it only gets visible after a F5-refresh on the desktop. With both tries I had no desktop explorer crash this time, when clicking any of the icons. I commented on the jira, too.
