FYI,

The following email just came through on the HttpClient list. Since the webdavclient JAR has been ported to use the latest of HttpClient, it would be nice if the official "alpha" release was fully compatible. I'm hoping there are a few subscribers to this list in addition to myself who might spend some time verifying that all is operating as expected with their uses of the webdavclient library.

If you are doing testing, I recommend you pull the latest HttpClient from CVS and build that, instead of relying on last night's build.

-Eric.

P.S. For those of you wondering why someone named "Jeffrey" would sign-off his email with Jandalf, you should look for "middle-earth" references in the HttpClient-dev email history.

There are no bugs currently targeted for alpha 2 (or the old tag milestone 1). I'm just doing some finalizations now, dealing with Maven, running checkstyle and such, and will re-label cvs shortly.

I'll give myself a deadline of finishing finalizing the release before end of day Saturday Jan 25th. In the mean time I would like if a little extra testing could be done on cvs HEAD. Only patches addressing critical issues or documentation should be submitted untill after the release.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Your 2.0 release prime,
Jandalf.
