Hi

My company is likely to need to start work on an LDAP store over the
next couple of months. We haven't looked into it in too much detail
yet, so please just take this as little more than an expression of
interest, however, there seem to be 2 requirements we'd like to be able
to address.

The first is that we'd like to be able to configure the LDAP Store to
look for user information in more than one LDAP repository (eg one which
lists employees, and another which lists customers). I'd prefer not
to assume there's a referral to chase (though there could well be).

The second is that a the schema of the directory is likely to be fixed
ahead of time, so that there might well be issues in trying to store
custom properties on user objects which we've hitherto been happily
storing in Slide, in the directory. So there might need to be a way of
shadowing the directory entry, with the extra properties an application
built around Slide might be storing?? Also for properties which appear
in the schema under another name, some mechanism for mapping the names
to the ones the application expects will be useful.

cheers,

Jason
