Since it was seperated to develop various and strong enougbh http features,
I think, nobody has any objection surely...

Actually, the http client was donated for us to be concentrated to
only WebDAV client features.

Fantastic.  There is a stable release "coming soon" for HttpClient which
includes API stability in milestone 1 or 2.  This would appear to roughly
fit the timelines for the project I'm working on so if there are no
objections I'll target the 2.0 release.  I'm not sure what the release
schedule for Slide is like so I guess this will become a case of integrate
when it (and Slide) is ready kind of thing.
