Has anyone had a chance to look at these? They are pretty simple patches :)
There are few people using the 1.0 branch, and none of the developers have looked at it in a long time. I doubt these will get committed, there's nobody who has the time/interest to do anything with 1.0.x. One of the downsides of open source projects - uninteresting things (to the developers) tend to get dropped. Sorry.
