I know, it is not your fault! This is MY TODO! Unfortunately, it is really tricky to get streams from blobs closed at the right time. I will have to augment JDBCAwareInputStream to close a temporary connection - that might work :)
Well, I know why I had postponed this fix for such a long time: it is really ugly, but it now works the way described above. Checked for open resource after a full test run: none found. Seems to work...
Anyone interested can have a look at the commit just before this post.
