unusual question

Hi,
This is not a question about using slide, but is information I need.  I'm using
slide as a component in a prototype implementation for a research project.  I'm
in the process of writing papers (for publication) about this project and I'd
like to reference papers that have been previously published about slide but
can't find any.  Are there papers about the ideas or architecture of slide
lurking out there somewhere?  Would someone please point me at them if they
exist?
