How could i use "HTTP authentification" (401 response) with slide ?

Hy, 
i use slide for my WebDAV project. For this project  i would like to 
authenticate a user using HTTP_AUTH and not using the  DOMAIN.XML file.
Is this possible ? 
Maybe XHttpServletRequestFacade and  XHttpServletResponseFacade could 
handle that problem, but how ?
