If you have non Office files in your WebFolder already, you can easily edit
them (by e.g. Word). Just select the desired extension (at the file open
dialog) and edit the Resource. I have tested this at least for XML files.

XP will have a WebDAV redirector, which allows you to mount a WebDAV server.
It doesn't work yet with either Tomcat or Slide (it doesn't handle default
namespaces).
With the Webfolders, you have to copy the files to your HD, modify them,
then upload them back.
