In some cases, people more likely will use slide together with other web
applications. It will be nice to have a unified authentication and
autherization framework. For this purpose, the question will be:

Is there a way to use container level role assignments? Say use tomcat
role and use it in slide permissions?

Or another approach, Is there a way to use slide's role and group
assignments and use it in other web applications within the same
container?

Thanks for the help.

Yes.

At the moment, not really, since you have to create a link (and we don't
support the WebDAV binding spec yet). There will most certainly be some
HTML
interface to edit them in the future.
