I have the common interest. I'm working on an Slide/Jetspeed integration (see on http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/jakarta-jetspeed/scratchpad/jetspeed-cms/) .
Later, I also need a workflow in my CMS application. So, I'm also interesting to have a specification or a proposal for Slide workflow. See www.wyona.org wich has a worflow engine and a slide integration. Unfortunatly for you it is not integrate with Struts but maybe it can give some ideas. I didn't get the time to check in more detail this project but seems to be interesting. So I've seen workflow discussed on the mail archives, and the general response is "Yes, we'd love to have it, but no one has the time". So, a few questions, as I'm 90% sure I need to roll my own CMS for my project - the "CMS" solutions out there that are OSS are aweful, and the slide API looks clean (and the struts UI is a good start for a new project). 1. Does a design doc exist for how the slide team hopes to integrate workflow into Slide? 2. In the meantime, it would be nice to be able to label versions, ala CVS tags, so that I can manually mark revisions for publishing until a full workflow API is in place. Can this be done using the latest CVS snapshot? 3. Finally, is anyone building an OSS project based on Slide that is an extension of the packaged struts application? I've seen someone post something about Velocity, and someone else about Cocoon. Can I get some links to your sforge projects or CVS repos so I can maybe help collab with you?
